Juan Solito Lodge – Los Llanos: Rescue of a female Giant or Green Anaconda (5/6 meters) taken out of the river and transferred in a pick-up to a lagoon inside the Reserve of Hato La Aurora for a better protection from fishermen.
The green Anaconda is the largest species of Anaconda and can grow up to 17 feet long and weigh as much as 100 kgs. They are mostly aquatic and nocturnal, and eat a wide variety of preys like fishes, birds, a variety of mammals and other reptiles.
